3M is seeking a Supply Chain Analyst Intern for the Electronics & Energy Group located in Austin, TX for summer 2018. Here, you go.

An internship is a temporary position within 3M. Interns typically work a full-time schedule throughout a 10-12 week assignment. This position is limited to working 899 hours per service credit year. 3M provides eligible interns with temporary housing and round-trip travel reimbursement in accordance with current policy.

Job Summary:

The Supply Chain Analyst Internship position involves experiences across the supplier management, supply chain planning, manufacturing materials planning, and/or supply chain process and systems teams. This internship position exposes the Supply Chain Analyst to many aspects of the Electronics and Energy Business supply chain, providing training, experiences, and perspectives for professional development. Depending on assignments, the Supply Chain Analyst intern may be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

  • Supply Chain Analysis, Process and Systems Improvement

  • Supply Chain Planning and Inventory and Product Flow

  • Measurement, Reporting, and Issues Resolution

  • Project Participation and Leadership

Basic Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university

  • Current cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, supply chain operations, operations management, industrial distribution, engineering route to business (ERB).

  • Demonstrated computer literacy with ability to understand and operate applicable software and systems and is able to extract and analyze systems data

  • Superior communication, planning/coordinating and administrative skills

  • Previous experience as a 3M Intern or Technical Aide OR internship with a manufacturing company

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
