This ongoing internship experience will give candidates the opportunity to gain general knowledge of Southwire's Tools Business Unit and testing activities through hands on involvement with tools return.What you'll do:Perform testing and analysis for returns in accordance with applicable quality procedures, test methods, control plans and work instructions.Update and maintain test results in the Return Database.Issue non-conforming reports directly to suppliers.Issue daily communications with suppliers related to rework and other non-conforming issues.Maintain inspection and test equipment in accordance with calibration recall system.Other duties or projects as assigned by the Quality Engineer and/or Quality ManagerWhat you'll need:Must be enrolled in collegeAbility to work at least 20 hours per weekStudying towards a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field (Preference Electrical Engineering)At least a 2.5 GPAExcellent listening, communication and written skillsEnergetic and passionate with a flexible spiritAbility to proactively identify problems and propose effective solutionsAbility to work and complete projects independently, as well as within a team environmentWorking knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Regards,Southwire is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
