University Relations – Project Management Intern
*This 10-week internship will be located in Chicago, IL.
What will you do?
The HCSC EPMO Intern program is a highly customized internship which integrates you directly into HCSC’s everyday life and will give you an idea of what it is like to be a full-time employee. This position is responsible for assisting project managers or program teams to ensure project deliverables and other work is produced timely and in accordance with established protocols and procedures. You will be working in a matrix project environment. We expect you to be an actively engaged member among a highly integrated project team.
What Are Your Responsibilities?
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Coordinating project team meetings.· Assisting in ongoing maintenance of the project schedule and development of weekly status reports. · Developing and maintaining relationships with project team members to obtain project objectives. · Updating project documentation.

A preferred background in one or more of the following:
Understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Project Management Methodologies (i.e. Project Management Institute – PMBOK). Experience in planning and scheduling / coordinating meetings and / or event. Experience writing and distributing meeting agendas and documenting meeting outcomes. Previous internship experience preferred. Must be comfortable working in a virtual atmosphere. Communication skills.
What Are the Requirements You Must Meet?
· Graduation date between December 2018 – June 2019. · A minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0.· Availability to work 10 weeks during the summer.· Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States (at this time, we are not offering this program under OPT or CPT or sponsoring work visas for these roles).
