Philips Lighting Internship: HR Talent Acquisition Analytics in Eindhoven, Netherlands

Your challenge

Support the Global Head of Talent Acquisition Operations to enable the strategic direction of Philips Lighting Talent Acquisition by focusing on building world-class operations while balancing efficiency and quality. The focus will be on HR and Talent Acquisition analytics, reporting, KPI’s.

Your responsibilities

  • Running and improving global (KPI) reporting, responding to ad hoc reporting and data requests, working towards predictive indicators in the Talent Acquisition space

  • Create, maintain, and improve a system of metrics to report on and improve the overall performance of Talent Acquisition

  • Global Talent Acquisition Processes: establishing and driving efficiencies, global standards and ways of working

  • Continue to simplify, improve, and standardize our TA processes from a manager, candidate, and cost perspective

  • General support of the Global Head of Talent Acquisition Operations

Your team

Talent Acquisition is the Centre of Excellence for recruitment for Philips Lighting. By attracting, selecting and hiring top talent for all the Market / Business Groups and Functions of Philips Lighting we enable the growth and vision of the organization world-wide. You will report to the Global Head of Talent Acquisition Operations and work with HR Talent acquisition team to support various initiatives and specific projects. Our team is global, international, young, dynamic, and full of enthusiastic people willing to help you out when needed.

Our offer

This internship offers you the opportunity to see how Recruitment works in a big international organization, while gaining experience in HR analytics, project management, and Lean thinking. As time progresses and you develop, you will be able to get more responsibility, run projects etc. Therefore, we are looking for 6 months minimum, ideally 12 months.

We are looking for

  • Enthusiastic young professionals, currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in: Business Management, Economics, Human Resources, Statistics, Engineering and Organizational Psychology other related fields ( Other academic areas can be applicable if you are skilled in analytics and data mining)

  • Excellent analytical skills in combination with a pragmatic approach. Able to analyze, interpret, and present data in a meaningful and effective way

  • Good to excellent Excel skills. An understanding of VBA is a bonus

  • Solid planning and organizational skills

  • Able to see bigger picture without losing sight of the details

  • Able to reflect on own performance, receive feedback and put it into practice, and willing to actively develop not just technically/professionally but also personally

  • Ability to connect with other people internationally, understand their points of view and pain points, and translate these into improvement projects

  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English

Internship conditions:

  • Students on work placement or final-year study assignment are paid a work placement or final-year study assignment allowance.

  • A student on a work placement or final-year study assignment is paid an allowance towards rented accommodation, depending on his/her situation. This will be determined setting up the Intern Contract.

  • A student on work placement or final-year study assignment who can prove that he/she is not entitled to a student card for public transport (OV-studentenkaart) is paid an allowance to cover the cost of travel between home and the place of work in accordance with the Conditions of Employment Guideline.

  • The student is entitled to paid leave on the basis of 1 day per month.

  • Opportunity to buy Philips products with tax benefit (Philips MyShop)

  • Non EU students in Dutch Universities: You need to be registered as a student and your university needs to sign the Nuffic Agreement. The internship needs to be compulsory part of your studies (receive ECTS in turn). In case of non-compulsory internship, you need to encompass a letter from the university in which it states that the internship contributes to your personal development, what your learning goals will be and what tasks you will carry out during the internship. The letter has to be signed and stamped by your university.

  • Non EU students in non-Dutch Universities: You need to be registered as a student and the internship should be compulsory part of your studies. Also, you need to be able to get official approval of your university for this internship (Nuffic agreement).
