VMware Application Developer Intern in Heredia, Costa Rica
The selected Candidates for the internship will start on January 2018
The intern will be working in the design, development, testing and maintenance of applications based on different technologies as web, mobile and data base engines. This will entail developing applications to support and automate internal processes or meet client requirements. The resource must be open to learn, research and suggest new technologies and development tools according to the needs of the business. The role requires basic understanding of the generic software architecture (DB, Back end, UI) and the integration methods as web services, since it will be required to work in complex software environments composed by different technologies. It is required basic knowledge of software development process methodologies, to be part of multi-disciplinary teams and meet deadlines.
• Responsible for gathering and assessing business information needs and preparing system requirements.
• Responsible for support development team in design and development of web and mobile applications.
• Perform gap analysis: as-is versus to-be.
• Review testing plans, testing scripts.
• Managing issue tracking systems such as Jira.
The candidate must have basic knowledge and understanding on the following areas:
Gather and write technical requirements based on functional and user inputs.
Development of dimple pieces of code based on detailed technical requirements.
Basic communication skills, IT and business orientated
Basic knowledge of relational data base.
Documentation of software functionality and technical details.
Education and Experience
Student of Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science. 50%-75% carrier.
Experience in software development. University project.
Basic knowledge of development logic.
