The MITRE Huntsville Site invites you to work in the exciting field of missile defense. The successful applicant will work within a small team in a self-paced, lab environment where personal initiative and innovative thinking is required to achieve ground-breaking results to develop new modeling techniques applicable to missile defense. Key functions include supporting the definition and evaluation of Modeling and Simulation products to support the Missile Defense Agency, reviewing/editing test and assessment requirements for digital and hardware-in-the-loop test events, reviewing and verification, validation, and accreditation plans and products, working with Engineers to review and interpret technical information in order to select appropriate products and solutions to meet customer needs, working with Engineers to identify potential problems, perform trade studies and formulate solutions to resolve issues, and interfacing with MDA customers.

Major inSystems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related technical field.

  • Ability to work as part of a small development team.

  • Proficiency in applied statistical inference and operations research

  • Proficiency in C, C , Simio, Arena, SimScale or other simulation software.

  • Proficiency using MATLAB, Minitab, SPSS, SAS and R.

  • Knowledge of Model Based System Engineering tools such as Rhapsody

  • Knowledge of Human Factors is a plus

  • Must be able to work independently on research related tasking with limitedsupervision.

  • Demonstrated interest in System Engineering through coursework, certifications, or special projects.

Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree with GPA 3.0 or higher.
