Navigant’s Healthcare Practice provides objective, practical, results-oriented assistance to address the business challenges facing healthcare executives and their organizations including: Enterprise-wide strategic plans; mergers and affiliations; business plan development and validation; program and service line analysis; new market opportunity and strategic positioning assessment; market assessment and forecasting; pricing and reimbursement strategy, design and implementation; and hospital-physician collaboration models. Navigant Healthcare professionals help design, develop, and implement solutions that create high performing healthcare organizations. Sub-practices include Strategic Solutions, Government Healthcare Solutions, Physician Enterprise Solutions, Revenue Management Solutions, and Performance Improvement.
This role can be based in any of the following locations: Chicago, IL; Washington, DC; Atlanta, GA; Seattle, WA; Boston, MA; Minneapolis, MN; Tampa, FL; Denver, CO; Indianapolis, IN; New York, NY.
Interns, as a member of a project team, may assist with business analysis and design of industry-based methodologies, help to develop innovative solutions to address business initiatives and problem statements; data compilation, analysis and evaluation; and aid the team with research, report creation, and quality control of all deliverables. Individuals will assist in all client engagement functions, ranging from coordination of project logistics to conducting key analytics and co-presenting key findings to client stakeholders.
Graduating with a BA/BS or MS degree in Economics, Engineering, Healthcare Policy, Human Biology or Business Administration between December 2018 and June 2019
Graduating with a MPH, MBA or PhD between December 2018 and June 2019 is also acceptable
Passion for solving the most complex challenges facing the U.S. health care industry
Superior written and oral communication skills
Excellent quantitative analysis skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
Knowledge of SAS Business Analytics software and/or Microsoft SQL Server, a plus
Ability to translate data into graphic or visual representations
Ability to travel or work overtime as required
Strong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
Work as a member of a team as well as be a self-motivator with ability to work independently
Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment to coordinate work
Frequently travels by airplane, train or car as necessary to perform work at another location
Regularly uses close visual acuity and operates computer equipment to prepare and analyze and transmit data
Generally works in an office environment
