The Red Hat North America Accounting team is looking for a Billing Support Specialist Intern to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will process orders for materials or merchandise from sales associates or direct customer contacts. You’ll review orders for the required documentation and approvals, enter the orders, follow up on triage, and ensure orders are booked in a timely manner. As a Billing Support Specialist Intern, you will coordinate with other departments about order status, shipping dates, and prices. You’ll also collaborate with internal teams to further develop our established billing processes. Primary job responsibilities
Process orders for materials or merchandise according to departmental policies
Manage all levels of processing including reject, rebooking, and exceptions
Use effective tools to manage work, processing, and open-issue resolution
Process, fulfill, and invoice orders to partners and direct customers
Clearly communicate through written and verbal channels with customers and internal stakeholders
Help develop and implement ongoing improvements to all processes related to the team
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Understanding of channel partner relationships and direct sales
Understanding of financial terms and procedures related to sales
Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining a high attention to detail
Ability to effectively prioritize and organize work to meet goals and expectations
Ability to communicate with all levels in an organization
Capability to manage complex order life cycles from start to finish
Capability to anticipate and take action to meet customer needs
Ability to consider a broad range of internal and external factors when solving problems and making decisions; ability to recognize strategic opportunities for success
Ability to maintain positive internal and external working relationships while working in a fast-paced environment
Capability to work well on your own and with a team
Experience with Oracle is a plus
