Utah House of Representative Majority Communications office is looking for a creative communications intern who is eager to provide support with various tasks during the 2018 General Session. This paid intern position will work directly with the communications coordinator to promote communications outreach for the House Majority. The communications intern will have the chance to experience the fast-paced atmosphere of a local state government,gain valuable work experience and visibility into the inner workings of the Utah House of Representatives. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in communications and the legislative process.The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in political communications,digital media and policy,be willing to work in a fast-paced environment and be interested in learning about the legislative process. Start Date : The paid internship begins in January and ends mid-March. Hour Requirements: In general,an intern is expected to provide intern services on a full-time basis during the period of employment as an intern. Because of the dynamic nature of the annual general session,it is understood that an intern may not provide intern services a steady 40-hours each week,except that an intern is anticipated to average no more than 40-hours per week for an 8-week period.
