Lockheed Martin Engineering Intern in San Luis Obispo, California
Provide electrical engineering design and test support for unmanned air vehicles. This position is for the Fury program, a long-endurance, runway-independent, expeditionary group III UAS. The selected candidate could contribute to a variety of efforts over time as skills and experience are advanced including design, drafting, manufacturing liaison, ground and flight test support, and more. Good communication skills and effective collaboration in a small-team environment with other talented engineers are some keys to success. Not required, but one or more of the desired skills below would be a plus.
Basic Qualifications Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Electrical engineering, design, integration, and testing of electronics and/or electrical systems or related discipline from an accredited college.
Knowledge of analog and digital design concepts and principles.
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Desired skills Not required but one or more of the below would be a plus: • Aircraft system design, test, and/or troubleshooting experience • Experience incorporating a variety of sensors, processors, protocols, and LRUs • RF system testing/troubleshooting • EMI testing and mitigation experience • Familiarity with harness, schematic, and PCB design software • Electronic packaging design for vibration, temperature, mechanical, and EMI performance
