Paper Mill.Occupational Health & Safety Co-opResponsibilitiesResponsible for providing assistance and support related to Health & Safety compliance programs. This position is responsible for planning, establishing, implementing, and maintaining a variety of health, safety and environmental programs to assure the highest possible degree of safety for employees. The successful candidate will be a self-starting leader who enjoys the challenges of daily involvement with an operation and maintenance team. The position requires that the applicant have problem solving capabilities, ability to test solutions in a production environment, and be able to pay attention to details.Preferred QualificationsMust have knowledge of OSHA standardsPursuing a B.S./B.A. degree in in occupational health, safety, or a related scientific or technical field.Basic Qualifications:Must be a student in good standing with the University, currently enrolled majoring in Occupational Health & Safety, or equivalent program related to Health & Safety in a Manufacturing Environment. The student will have either completed the freshman year or will have completed the freshman year when co-op begins and express interest in Pulp and Paper Manufacturing as a career.
