Global Compliance Law Intern
Support the Global Compliance department, which reports into Legal. Responsibilities will include assisting in third party due diligence, data analysis, internal reporting, documenting customer relationships and department processes and other projects as required. Through this role, the individual in the position will gain an understanding of various business processes and global anti-bribery / anti-corruption legislation.
Assist with third party due diligence
Use Enterprise Wide software (SAP) and Excel, complete account analysis and reporting
Develop and execute various data analyses to identify unusual transactions
Assist Legal department lawyers with legal research and contract drafting and review
Document department procedures as they are developed
Assist with internal reporting to management, including Board of Directors reporting
Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required
Job Skills Requirements:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Working knowledge of Access and related accounting software such as SAP is beneficial but not required
Familiarity with data analysis
Detailed-oriented with the ability to balance multiple tasks and follow projects through to completion and within assigned deadlines
Demonstrated ability to organize work and prioritize responsibilities to meet multiple deadlines
Proven ability to work well independently, as well as within a team atmosphere
Cultural sensitivity with the aptitude to work with internationally diverse colleagues
Must be currently enrolled as a law student and have completed, at the time of the internship, at least 1 semester, in an accredited college or university, working towards a law degree.
Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of at least 3.3/4.0
- This is an entry level position therefore previous experience is beneficial but not required.
- Part time (at least 10-15 hours / week) during the academic year and full time (40 hours / week) during the summer.
