Position Description

We don't just build pipelines and terminals, we build careers that last.

Each year we hire students in Canada to help with basic maintenance, operations and administrative work. We are looking for hardworking individuals who in turn will have a great summer work opportunity. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist with the Development of training packets needed for the emergency management program.

  • Assist with the maintenance and documentation of control points, and updating of the control points manuals for each district.

  • Inventory of emergency response equipment and documentation of user guides and quick response kits.

  • Assist with the development of earthquake response plan development for employee safety during a large scale emergency.

  • Representation at community events and trade shows promoting KMC’s Emergency Management Program and pipeline safety.

Position Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in Emergency Management, Safety, Oil Spill Technology, Fire School, Communications, Environment

  • Public speaking experience

  • Experience using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel

  • Returning to full time post-secondary studies in fall 2018
