Fresenius Medical Center Hardware Engineering Intern in Concord, California


As an intern with Fresenius Medical Care, a student will apply classroom based knowledge to workplace experience and will benefit from learning experiences in their major area of study.

This position entails contributing to the design, development, modification, and evaluation of electronic parts, components, or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment or other hardware systems and/or electrical engineering applications. Conducts experimental tests and evaluates results. Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability.

  • Responsible for driving the FMCNA culture through values and customer service standards.

  • Accountable for outstanding customer service to all external and internal customers.

  • Develops and maintains effective relationships through effective and timely communication.

  • Takes initiative and action to respond, resolve and follow up regarding customer service issues with all customers in a timely manner.


  • Contributes to the design, development or modification of electronics hardware for a limited scope of a project by analyzing the hardware requirements documents.

  • Select/evaluate components, create or edit specification control and other drawings, perform schematic entry, analyze circuits, and perform simple analog/digital simulations.

  • Write or edit test protocols/reports, write and implement engineering change notices.

  • Debug and test of hardware using software and hardware tools as needed.

  • Participate in electronic hardware design reviews and other related technical reviews.

  • Reviews and complies with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations.

  • Other duties as assigned.
