Spok, Inc. Business Analyst Intern (18-140) in Eden Prairie, Minnesota

Description The Business Analyst Intern will complete special projects and provide research and analysis support to Spok's Sales Operations team. The intern will gain valuable work experience in a leading healthcare technology company and work alongside experienced sales operations professionals to learn new skills and tools while actively contributing to the overall success of the organization. Duties of this role include but are not limited to: Develops reports and analyzes information for data accuracy. Conducts root cause analysis to identify and makes recommendations for resolution Conducts general research to gather data pertaining to industry company and customer trends Develops business cases, designs proof of concepts solutions, and makes recommendations to improve internal processes Assists in preparing business presentations, reports, and documentation Partners with Sales Operations team to identify new opportunities to provide valuable metrics to the organization Completes special projects assigned by the Senior Director of Sales Operations or other members of Senior Management Coordinates with local sales teams to gather market intelligence Completes routine clerical assignments including Salesforce data entry and system maintenance. Microsoft Office Suite experience (in particular Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Positive attitude and approach and ability to quickly shift focus when priorities change Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to efficiently manage time given multiple project deliverables Willingness to partner with a variety of team members depending on the project and keep them updated on the project's status Education and/or Experience: In progress of a Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Database software; Contact Management systems; and others listed under "Qualifications".
