JOB REQUIREMENTS: This position is for a Mechanical Design Intern to aid in the configuration, documentation, and assembly of TCI's flagship active and passive harmonic filter product lines. As an engineering intern you will work hands-on in CAD, modify product to customer requests, verify production assembly and test, and generate engineering documentation of TCI's magnetic and power electronic products. This opportunity will allow you to gain valuable professional experience within an industry leading company. Job responsibilities will be partially driven by qualifications and area of interest expressed by student but typical tasks will include - design of customer requested product configurations, update of product documentation due to replacement of components for new capabilities or cost reductions, design of new sheet metal parts, design of new assemblies, documentation of wiring, and assembly of prototype products on the shop floor. Additionally the job may require construction of prototype circuits and test fixtures as needed by the engineering team. Students will be exposed to all or some of the following tools and technologies: AutoCAD, Inventor, Epicor (ERP), project documentation WIKIs, passive filter circuits, and production test equipment.
