Stericycle is looking to add a Summer Intern for our Marketing team based in Indianapolis, IN. Here's some of the exciting projects that this Intern will participate in:
Develop a robust marketing plan for the Expert Canada team that incorporates the full gamut of marketing, including but not limited to: a tradeshow calendar, content strategy (messaging and frequency, along with methods), lead generation, and customer nurture program creation.
Research and develop a tentative tradeshow calendar with potential ROI for 2019, with a focus on finding new shows within our strategic verticals.
Assist on creation of a strategy for customer retention, focused primarily on strengthening existing relationships and bringing lapsed customers back into the fold. This would include a research project on customer retention.
Our Intern will achieve or make progress towards these objectives:
Gain exposure and experience with all aspects of marketing (from tradeshows to data analysis, internal and external marketing, brand development, etc.) to cultivate the ability to describe all that goes into a marketing plan – tested with the Expert Canada marketing plan.
Understand how a marketing strategy is formed and how to plan implementation (with back-up plans for when adjustments must be made) and be able to develop a marketing strategy – tested with the Expert Canada marketing plan, as well as being an integral part of the re-brand efforts.
Become comfortable in an interdepartmental office setting, being able to communicate effectively with stakeholders from different departments as well as team members of varying job levels (from temps to VPs) through written and verbal means.
Learn how to manage time through prioritization while still hitting both soft and hard deadlines.
Gain experience with marketing and sales enablement tools, such as Hubspot and Salesforce.

Preferred Year in School (intern must currently be enrolled in an undergraduate program): rising Junior, rising Senior
Preferred Major: Business, Marketing, English
Preferred Proficiencies: Excel, strong written communication skills, strong attention to detail
Other Qualifications: Any creative pursuits are a plus
