Varian Medical Systems Clinical Education Intern in Las Vegas, Nevada

Job Description
Varian is looking for a talented, highly motivated and self-directed Physics, Biomedical Engineering or Medical Physics to join our education team. This is in an environment that fosters learning, appreciates customer service, and encourages academic curiosity. You will be working with Clinical, Technical instructors and Curriculum development personnel that teach and develop concepts of radiotherapy to clinicians around the world. This is a technically challenging position that will give you the opportunity to work with the latest technologies and design tools. Your responsibilities will include:
- Investigate, research topics relevant to radiotherapy and participate and collaborate in projects with Service engineers, Physicists, Dosimetrist and Curriculum development that will lead to the increase knowledge of subject manners, improve course materials which will lead to an increase of customer satisfaction.
- Determine avenues for transferring knowledge from these investigations to customers through curriculum or documentation.
- Assist Instructors in lectures and laboratory exercises.
- Learn new software and hardware technologies being used in clinical practice.
- Collect Data for virtual computational environments to enhance the customer training experience
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will be a creative and highly motivated individual with strong technical skills and a common sense approach to scientific investigation and problem solving. Specific requirements include:
-Enrolled in BS or MS Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Physics program or similar discipline
-Willing to learn and develop in programming languages such as Python or C#.
-Must comply with a safety first environment, understand the risks of radiation and electrical safety.
-The ability to work in a team environment.
-Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
