Responsibilities and Qualifications
Oversees the preparation and dispensing of medication, medication order verification , insures the monitoring of patient medication therapy. Acts as a resource for the provision of medication information for patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcarre professionals. Identifies, recommends, resolves, and prevents meeication realted problems through intervention with the physician. Supervises and directs pharmacy support personnel to ensure the timeliness of medication administration. Follows approved policies, procedures, protocols, regulatory standards, in executing job responsibilities. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our Mercy Mission, Vision, Values, and Services Standards.

Education: Bachelor of Science (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from a School or College of Pharmacy accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE
Licensure: Requires a current pharmacist license from state of Missouri.
Other: Co-worker may work with chemotherapy drugs.
Preferred Experience: Previous hospital experience is preferred but not required.
