Electric Business Operations (EBO) is a dynamic, integral component of Electric Operations. Our mission is simple: We advance the Electric Operations business with a strategic, executable, and affordable work plan. This includes strategic multi-year planning, regulatory filing coordination, workforce strategy, portfolio management, work management, and Lean capability. The hiring group for this position is within the Electric Advance Office, an organization within EBO accountable for repositioning Electric Operations through a focus on People and Organizational Health, implementation of Lean, and cultivation of innovative ideas. Position Summary

The successful candidate will serve an immediate and evolving role within the Electric Advance Office. Given the current phase of the Office efforts, this individual will be helping and leading in the following areas:

  • Developing Multi-Year Lean strategies and tactics for the key Distribution Programs

  • Building Lean capabilities and facilitating Kaizen workshops to identify and resolve Lean opportunities

  • Facilitating and project managing innovation ideas to implementation

  • Developing and implementing organizational disruptions in support of our People and Organizational Health efforts

  • Developing dashboards and executive reporting

The successful candidate and team will co-develop the internship focus areas based on the candidates’ skills and areas of interest. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Earning a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related critical thinking discipline (students must be continuing education towards degree during and/or after internship)

  • Must have a valid driver’s license or obtain one at least 30 days prior to start date. Some driving may be required to visit clients and team members


  • Technology solutions (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

  • 3.0 GPA or greater in both cumulative GPA and major GPA

  • Loves case studies and breaking down complex issues

  • Lean familiarity or experience

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
