Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Technical Operations is the primary point of contact for internal and external customers and represent Gulfstream Product Support network for both technical and non-technical situations. Under direct supervision, assist Technical Operations management, Technical Specialists, and Technical Data Associate with collection, evaluation, and improvements to technical data, processes, technical publications, process documentation and modification. Assist with current processes, as requested.
Document, data input and reporting of in-service quality issues to the originating business unit's quality department for root cause and comprehensive corrective action.
Coordinate and track the transfer of faulty, failed, or damaged aircraft components from the field to engineering for analysis. Communicate and coordinate technical support for that analysis.
Facilitate reporting for vendor score cards by coordinating and compiling information and details obtained from Technical Operations, Engineering, and Model Managers.
Submit Publication Change Requests (PCR) to technical data after researching and comparing all available sources (IPC, AMM, CMM, Engineering Reports, Engineering Orders, etc.).
Configure office equipment and workstations to 5S work areas.
Assist Group Specialists and Supervisors with Tech Ops work orders. Ensure Tech Ops work orders are tracked for regular follow-up, communicated with customer as scheduled, ensure Work Order times are accurate, ensure deliverable is correct and delivered promptly. Finally, notify Business Office for closure in a timely manner.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Currently pursing a Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Aviation Technology, Aeronautics, Aviation Maintenance, or a closely related field. Must be an August 2018 graduate or later.
Cumulative 2.9 gpa or higher at the time of application and it must be listed on the submitted resume.
Currently seeking or already hold an Airframe and Powerplant License (A&P) is highly preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Must have transportation to and from work for the duration of the internship.
