We are building a small, highly agile team to take our existing technology and move it to the next level of stability, scalability, and pure coolness. The Job: Design and develop services and web applications to support online travel affiliates. Work with the team members to refine requirements and functional specifications. Develop code and unit tests in a continuously integrated environment. Promote good development methodologies via code review and great software design. Work with our quality engineers to automate testing and make sure all issues are bug free. Provide estimates and commitments for deliverables.

The Background:

  • Junior/Senior in a BS program in Computer Science or related field.

  • Knowledge in computer fundamentals: data processing, run times, network protocols, memory management, appropriate data structures.

  • Able to design software and algorithms to solve problems.

  • Understanding of threading, concurrency, and problems that can result from concurrent processing preferred.

  • Knowledge of NoSQL and relational database concepts.

  • Familiar with regular expressions.

  • An aptitude for debugging software.

  • Experience using a programming IDE.

  • Basic understanding of HTTP protocol, JavaScript, and HTML markup preferred.

  • Knowledge of basic Unix command line tools.
