FormFactor hosts an annual 12 week internship as part of our commitment to growing and developing the next generation of technical talent. Internships provide current students and recent graduates with the opportunity to work on novel projects alongside experts in the world of semi-conductors. Successful candidates must be available to start this program on Monday, May 21st or Monday June 18th and commit to all 12 weeks of the program.
In this position, the Intern will work with Formfactor’s Product Development team. This role will develop new processes and apply process improvements to the existing product portfolio. This project involves researching and developing new MEMS process techniques to reduce and eliminate defects and failures. The candidate will conduct perform design of experiments, conduct experiments, collect data and analyze data. This role will involve in hands-on process improvement and cycle-time reduction projects.
This is an exciting opportunity for hands-on work experience with state of the art wafer sort equipment.
Projects will include:
Conduct experiments and collect data
Design of Experiments (DOE), Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Process capability (CpK)
Analyze, publish and correlate data with baseline performance
Failure Analysis and Root Cause Analysis
Process improvements for pick and place machine, metrology tools and inspection units
Write technical reports and training documentation
Provide recommendations based on results for future work
Candidates with the following education experience are encouraged to apply:
Minimum of 3 years as an undergraduate (B.S) or currently pursuing M.S/Ph.D. in Materials engineering field
Organizational skills and work with close attention to detail.
Candidate will work in office, lab and machine shop environments.
SPC and data analysis skills will be a plus.
Hands on lab experience preferred.
Excellent communication skills.
