RML Specialty Hospital Quality and Safety Administrative Intern in United States

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports the Mission and Vision of RML Specialty Hospital by demonstrating RML's Core Values of Service, Teamwork, Accountability, Integrity, Respect and Stewardship (STARS) in all actions. Promotes a positive patient/customer experience by exemplifying the principles of the Language of Caring in all interactions with patients, families and coworkers.

  • Under supervision of the Chief Quality Officer, provide temporary support to the Organizational Performance Improvement (OPI) department team by facilitating clinical/operational quality and safety activities in accordance to standing operating procedures, regulatory agencies, and guidelines.

  • Develop and present lessons learned throughout internship demonstrating development of healthcare administration skills and real-world application of quality improvement theories and tools.

  • Assist in evaluating and enhancing effectiveness of organization Quality culture

  • Assist in the design efforts and maintenance of the OPI Intranet site

  • Assist with evaluating/enhancing workflow processes and employee engagement

  • Assist in various data collection, analysis, and report tracking efforts

  • Assist with reconciliation of policy and procedures with regulatory requirements

  • Assist in evaluation and prioritization process for strategic project selection

  • Identify and escalate issues appropriately

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills & Abilities

Familiar with Power Point, Word, Visio required; Data analysis experience using Excel formulas and macro builds preferred.

Working Conditions

On a continuous basis, sit/stand at desk for prolonged periods of time for computer work, intermittently answer telephone, write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means and for data analysis, document review and development.

Walking and lifting up to 20 pounds may be required. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
