FormFactor hosts an annual 12 week internship as part of our commitment to growing and developing the next generation of technical talent. Internships provide current students and recent graduates with the opportunity to work on novel projects alongside experts in the world of semi-conductors. Successful candidates must be available to start this program on Monday, May 21st or Monday June 18th and commit to all 12 weeks of the program.
In this position, the Intern will work with FormFactor’s Applications group, Electrical Design team and Mechanical Design team. This role will develop an updated PCIF (Probe Card Input Form) and associated training and user guides, for FormFactor’s DRAM and Flash based products. This project involves working with Applications and Design to analyze the existing tool, gather user needs, develop a project plan and provide an updated PCIF and any associated user documentation and training.
This is an exciting opportunity for interaction with multiple technical disciplines involved in the design of state of the art probe card technology.
Projects will include:
Updating the current PCIF form to include self-check automation using Visual Basic
Working with Mechanical and Electrical design teams to enable automated data checking and extraction into FormFactor’s internal design tools
Creating a new user manual and any other required documentation.
Providing training to the World-Wide Applications and Design teams on the use of the updated PCIF
Candidates with the following education experience are encouraged to apply:
Minimum of 3 years as an undergraduate in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
High level of experience with Microsoft Excel and Visual Basic.
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and documentation.
Working knowledge of DRAM and Flash nomenclature
Good organizational skills and the ability to work with close attention to detail
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
Work will be primarily located in Livermore, Ca.
